Overpass Road/FM 2001 Intersection Improvements

The goal of this project is to address congestion during peak traffic times and improve the 3-way stop with potential accommodations for bicycles and pedestrians. This project is also identified in the City’s Transportation Mobility Master Plan.
Current Status:
The City of Buda is developing and considering options for the design of Overpass Road and the intersection at FM2001. Improvements to Overpass Road and FM 2001 likely affects the intersection of Overpass Road and E Goforth Street and Firecracker Drive. Overpass Road and FM 2001 are TXDOT roadways thereby requiring coordination and collaboration to enable any improvements to the intersection(s). Hence, the project timeline likely will be determined by or made in coordination with TXDOT.
This project involves TxDOT right of way and may require a funding and engineering agreement before changes are made to the intersection.
