Robert S. Light boulevard
project status
Robert S. Light Boulevard previously connected IH-35 and Main Street/S Loop 4. The road has now been extended to link RM 1626 and IH-35, close to Quik Trip. The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) has been completing the section of Robert S. Light between Main Street and FM 1626. The goal of this project is to alleviate traffic and congestion on Main Street in Buda and divert trucks away from downtown.
Current Status:
The overall roadway project from IH-35 frontage road to South Loop 4 is substantially complete.
The City, County, and TXDOT are collaborating in the design development stage for Robert S. Light and Main Street/S. Loop 4 intersection traffic signal.
