Current Status:
The City of Buda commissioned Lionheart to create a conceptual plan for Austin Street based on the development of the Downtown Master Plan. City Council reviewed the concept plan in November to confirm the vision and expectations for the design of Austin Street. In order to prepare for the design phase, the City released a Request for Qualifications for engineering design firms to submit for consideration.
City Council selected the design firm, Halff Associates, Inc., on Jan. 3, 2024. Preliminary design began mid-January 2024 and is expected to be complete by May 2024. Geotechnical borings are complete. Utility locating will be performed in April. Final design will begin this Summer.
