  • This project will incorporate pedestrian improvements such as connecting the existing sidewalk from Buda Mill & Grain Co. to China Street to provide a pedestrian connection across FM 2770. Additional improvements include reconstruction of pavement at intersections to meet ADA requirements.

  • Robert S. Light Boulevard previously connected IH-35 and Main Street/S Loop4. The road has now been extended to link RM 1626 and IH-35, close to Quik Trip. The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) has been completing the section of Robert S. Light between Main Street and FM 1626.

  • Based on traffic data and engineering, two RM967 intersections warranted Eastbound deceleration lanes: Garlic Creek Drive/Remuda Trail and Garlic Creek Drive/Grove Lane.

  • A new right-turn lane will be constructed on RM 967 from Canyon Wren Drive to FM 1626. The addition of this right-turn lane will accommodate westbound traffic and mitigate queuing from the intersection of FM 1626 and RM 967. During the preliminary and final design phases, the City of Buda will coordinate and engage with potentially impacted residents, businesses, and property owners to participate in the planning process.

  • The future development of the Bailey tract will involve an extension of a north-south road from RM 967 to the new extension of SH-45. This study is cost-shared with Hays County and TxDOT.

  • To improve pedestrian mobility, new sidewalks improvement projects are underway to address the sidewalk gap along Cabela's Drive Sidewalk with a budget of $117,000. The main purpose of this project is to make it safer and more convenient for people to walk between businesses and neighborhoods by addressing the gap in the existing sidewalk.
