East main street funding

The City of Buda has been awarded $10.5 million in federal transportation funding through the Capital Area Metropolitan Planning Organization (CAMPO) for the future reconstruction of East Main Street between IH-35 and Firecracker Drive. Combined with a $2.62 million local match, the project carries a total budget of $13.1 million. The funding is anticipated to become available in 2029.

Garison park construction to begin

The City of Buda is planning a groundbreaking ceremony for Thursday, July 30, for the John D. and Byrd Mims Garison Memorial Park. The event kicks off the long-anticipated transformation of the 40-acre natural area along Onion Creek just north of downtown and the Buda Amphitheater and City Park. Completion is expected in Summer 2027.
